It’s hard to believe that the first quarter of 2021 has already passed and that it’s time to celebrate Easter. But can we really celebrate? Last year Easter took place in the shade of coronavirus, as more countries and more people were affected by it. We were asked to isolate, to not meet with relatives and to make an exception and skip visits to churches despite Easter being the most important Catholic holiday. We did what we were asked to do and still the curve of new infections still continued to drop and rise up in its own rythm. It was hard to predict how things will look later.
And here we are today, one year later, at Easter time again. The world didn’t go back to normal and methinks that nothing will ever look the same after this pandemic. And while for many countries things start to look brighter, in Poland things have been getting worse. We just can’t seem to get a hold of the situation, our government is making weird decision which are not consulted with respective environments and they are being announced last minute. We are at the pitiful end in terms of new infections and deaths.
I didn’t expect that second Easter in a row will be so miserable and still highly affected by the pandemic situation in the country. I thought that by now things will get better but I was wrong. But Easter is all about hope and new beginnings so I’m grabbing hope by its hand and I’m not going to let it go. No matter what’s the situation in your living area, I hope you can celebrate this holiday in some way. I’m wishing you a peaceful & happy Easter, no matter what. Things are bound to get better soon, no? As long as we don’t give up, we are good. We all have a reason to keep going!
And please excuse me for not writing for a while – I had no interesting perfume to tell you about and there was more work that kept me busier. Hopefully soon I’ll have something to share with you.
