Under an Alpine spell

Today I can’t think of any truer sentence than the one that all good things come to an end. And they come to an end way too quickly. My holiday trip in Northern Italy and in the Alps came to an end and I’m back at work since yesterday. I just wanted to let you know in this short message that I have returned. I probably need a couple more days to settle in, catalogue all the photos – and I took almost 1000 of them, then I will slowly begin sharing the travelogue with you.

I absolutely enjoyed this trip and the Alps have put a spell on me. Before I start going into details I ask for a little more patience. Your waiting will be rewarded, I promise. Love you and missed you all!

Out of reach – Lost in the Alps

“Summer came like cinnamon, so sweet” sings Corrine Bailey Rae in one of her songs. Well this year summer was very dry and filled with numerous heatwaves that came to Europe from Africa, bringing temperatures reaching 40°C in the shade. Not as sweet as it could be. But now it’s almost mid September and we’re approaching the Autumn season. When everybody else was enjoying their local and exotic trips, warm seas or mountain hiking, I was working this entire summer time.

I didn’t want to go on vacation, that wasn’t my plan. A dream about perfumery school was so close to coming true. But life always verifies one’s plans and after dealing with internal trauma I eventually booked a holiday. Today I’m leaving for a round trip in the Alps. I will spend the next 10 days travelling across Austria, Northern Italy and Switzerland. We’ll be visiting some famous cities and breathing Alpine air. Plus I’m hoping for sights like the one above! See you in October!
