Late weekend poll – what will 2015 bring?

A repeated poll from January 2014. Lets talk about our expectations for 2015: are you hoping to find a new perfume you’ll fall in love with, are you planning to move houses, change the country where you live? Me – I’m going to continue developing the blog and I’m planning to attend both Esxence and Pitti Fragranze again this year. I will still work where I work for a while but I’m also seriously thinking about making my own perfume brand (with me as creative director working with perfumers).

Do you know of any interesting perfumes that are supposed to be launched in 2015? So far I’ve only heard of Chanel Misia, a new Les Exclusif and Atelier Cologne Pomelo Paradis. Lets hope there will be many fragrances to enjoy this year.

It’s good to see that you will develop the blog! I hope that 2015 will bring you good things. For me, I just want a better year than last and maybe a new perfume, although I have no idea what – but that’s why I read Chemist in the Bottle!

    I like your plans! Don’t forget – 10-15 ml bottles! ๐Ÿ˜‰

In addition to Pomelo Paradis, I look forward to Jo Malone Rock the Ages collection. I don’t expect it to be good but I’m curious. Also I wonder if a newly acquired brands (Le Labo and Frederic Malle) will release anything new. And I always wonder with what Amouage will come up next.

Hi Lucas, I will send you a very small sample of Scent of Hope. Where do I send it to?Good plans for 2015! This is Meredith – I usually appear as meredifay. Real bliss is my WordPress log on, in case you wondered at the unfamiliar name.

Hi Meredith, thanks for stopping by and thank you for the offer. If you could send me a message via a contact form in the blog, I would give you my postal address ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi Lucas I like your plans re starting your own perfume brand. I say go for it. I’m also thinking of going to Esxence in Milan so if I do I’ll get in touch. Would be nice to have a coffee or a drink with a perfume lover and discuss notes! I’m looking forward to another perfume or two from Papillon. I’m personally looking to explore some of the American indie / natural perfumers as well. Andy Tauer is always on my watch list – tuberose?

    • lucasai says:

Definitely let me know when you’re sure you’re going to Esxence in Milan and we’ll go for a dinner together on one afternoon.

I haven’t tried any of Papillon perfumes yet, but I’d love to. Indie lines – I should try some too, but they’re hard to get them over to Poland.

Speaking of Andy, I think he’s got plans for Sotto La Luna Tuberose… not sure if for 2015 though

      • Will definitely let you know re Esxence. If I come I’ll bring Anubis for you to try but I’m not sure that will be your thing. Her line is hard to get hold of in France too. I only tried them when I went to London. I really hope that Andy releases a Tuberose this year. Fingers crossed.

        • lucasai says:

Please do! I’m more keen on trying Tobacco Rose from Papillon but Anubis will do as well. It’s always good to try things. Fingers crossed for your tuberose from Andy. Hope to see you in March ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello darling Lucas. I love your plans for your perfume house working with other perfumers. Will you be expanding your candle line as well? I’m looking for the continued development of your blog and I am excited that you are planning on going to Esxence and Pitti — we get to live vicariously through you! As for 2015 for moi perfume-wise, I am throwing caution to the wind. Life is too short to deprive myself of something I really like as long as I don’t have to sacrifice a basic necessity just to get perfume. Of course basic necessities could differ by person and mine includes recharging my batteries via vacations. The only vacation so far that I am proceeding with is my Baltic cruise in August. I also would like to do more meetups with fellow perfumistas so I am likely to go to Sniffapalooza in May and perhaps even October.

Hi sweetie. Yes, I realized that I might never get into perfumery school but this cannot stop me from collaborating with various perfumers and giving them a creative direction, I would also take active part in the creation process. Possibly candles will also get some more development. I will take all of you to Milan and Florence again.
So you are not going to give up on perfumes that you like as long as it doesn’t break your budget. How nice that you are already planning your vacation. A cruise on the Baltic Sea? You think you might have any stop in Poland? Could be our chance to meet! And of course have fun at sniffapalooza, to whichever one you will go.
